List of challenge KPIs and how the project addressed them
Challenge: Accelerate Community Tools
KPI: Increase access to governance information. β Achieved: GovernCardanoBot provides AI-generated summaries and explanations of Cardano governance proposals (e.g., CIP-1694), making governance easier to understand for the community via Telegram.
KPI: Promote reuse and scalability of community tools. β Achieved: The bot is designed with open APIs, enabling other systems to connect and expand its functions. Project code is published as open source.
List of project KPIs and how the project addressed them
β Deployed AI chatbot on Telegram using Cardano governance data: Completed and publicly available at t.me/GovernCardanoBot
π Multilingual support: The chatbot supports interaction in multiple languages to increase accessibility, especially for regional communities like Vietnam. Language detection and response logic were implemented to personalize the user experience.
βοΈ Chatbot response time: Answers are sent within 5β20 seconds, depending on the complexity of the question, supporting simultaneous users with stable uptime.
π₯ User testing: At least 15 community members and 5 internal testers participated in structured testing sessions and provided feedback.
π§ AI Model development and accuracy: Model refinement was conducted with metrics like BLEU, ROUGE, Relevance Score, Factual Accuracy, Semantic Similarity, etc., ensuring reasonable output quality.
Key achievements (in particular around collaboration and engagement)
π§ Democratized access to Cardano governance through AI: GovernCardanoBot enabled everyday users β especially non-technical community members β to understand complex governance proposals like CIP-1694 and the Cardano Constitution. The AI-generated summaries simplified the original documents into accessible language.
π€ Developed a fully functional, fast, and user-friendly chatbot: The bot operates in real-time on Telegram, responding to user queries with natural language. Commands such as /find, /start, and direct questions enable seamless interaction without requiring technical knowledge.
π Acted as a βbridgeβ tool for regional communities β especially in Vietnam: The chatbot was tested and used within the Vietnamese Cardano community, lowering language and technical barriers. It allowed new users to engage with blockchain governance without having to read hundreds of pages of technical documentation.
π¬ Improved user experience through real feedback: UI/UX was enhanced based on over 20 feedback instances from real users. Improvements included font adjustments, icon additions, visual refinements, and handling of Markdown formatting issues. This reflects a strong user-centered design approach.
π’ Executed a multi-channel outreach campaign targeting global Cardano communities: The bot was promoted via Telegram (Cardano ECO Talk), X (Bamboo Labs), Facebook (Cardano News β ADA Bamboo), and Cardano community clusters in Asia, LATAM, SWARM, and Intersect β achieving over 2,000 views and 200+ engagements.
π Built for long-term reusability and expansion within the Cardano ecosystem: With its open-source code, clear documentation, and modular architecture, GovernCardanoBot can be integrated into other community tools or extended by members of the Cardano community. It lays the groundwork for use cases such as governance alerts, voting dashboards, or educational tools.
Key learnings
π Prompt engineering was key to ensuring that the AI interpreted and summarized CIP documents accurately.
π Real-world feedback from early users helped identify UX issues and fine-tune bot responses and UI.
π Integrating automated data updates (e.g., data scraping + processed summaries) ensures the system stays up to date with governance changes.
Next steps for the product or service developed
π§ Develop a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) version to expand AI knowledge access beyond pre-trained data.
π Implement notification systems for governance updates directly via Telegram.
π Expand user base internationally with localized efforts for major Cardano communities.
π οΈ Open source the full architecture and invite contributions from other builders in the Cardano ecosystem.
Final thoughts/comments
"GovernCardanoBot is not merely a lookup tool but a bridge empowering the community to better understand and actively engage in Cardano governance. We are committed to making the bot increasingly user-friendly and globally useful."
